This chapter will present some of the disturbances of the higher functions and psychiatric disorders produced by focal lesions. Admixture of symptoms is common and represents a considerable challenge to the diagnostician, particularly when one realizes that many of the individual signs or symptoms seen with neurological disease also occur frequently in functional disorders.
