Adolph Meyer (1866-1950) coined the term “psychobiology” to refer to a science of man for which mental functioning is as truly biological as is physiology. The fundamental concept of psychobiology is that of integration. Treatment is seen is as a matter of negotiation of viewpoints and attitudes between the patient and the doctor. (48 pp)
