Jason Aronson, MD Founder
Jason Aronson, M. D. is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. He was a research psychiatrist at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and then served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He founded and was the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Psychiatry, and established Jason Aronson, Inc. a publisher of books in psychotherapy, psychiatry and psychoanalysis. This company was sold to Roman and Littlefield, and he retired in 2005. Dr. Aronson returned from retirement to spearhead IPI E-Books.
David Scharff, MD Publisher
David E. Scharff M.D. is co-founder of the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI). He is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University, and Teaching Analyst at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. David Scharff is the author of Refinding the Object and Reclaiming the Self (1992) and The Sexual Relationship (1982). He is senior co-author with Jill Savege Scharff of The Interpersonal Unconcious (2011), Object Relations Couple Therapy (1991) and Object Relations Family Therapy (1987). He has co-authored or edited many other books.

Jill Savege Scharff MD is a co-founder of the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI), Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Georgetown University, and author/editor of Projective and Introjective Identification and the Use of the Therapist’s Self, Tuning the Therapeutic Instrument, Object Relations Therapy of Physical and Sexual Trauma, Object Relations Individual Therapy, and The Primer of Object Relations.
