Regardless of what school of psychoanalytic thought an analyst belongs to, the supervision component of the training is foundational.   An analyst in training, usually called a candidate, treats a patient, then reviews the treatment, session by session, with a senior experienced analyst, and slowly the work gets better. Recently, contemporary technology has permitted variants of supervision that have many professionals marveling, and sometimes reeling.  This report describes a kind of supervision situation that new technologies permit.
